Denver has plenty of jiu jitsu. This is a different way to learn it.
If you already know you like grappling, the question is how you want to learn it. Golden Jiu Jitsu is built on games and concepts, in a smaller room where coaches watch your rounds.
Concepts, not a move of the day
Classes teach why a position works, so it transfers to the positions you have not seen yet.
Games with real resistance
Live rounds from a set position with a goal and constraints, so you rep the skill against someone trying to stop it.
Coaching grounded in research
Our coaches study how people actually learn movement. We call it American Jiu Jitsu: play-based and built on coaching science.

Questions
Is it worth leaving Denver to train?
That is what the free class is for. Come to one, and if the games and the room are not worth about 20 minutes to you, there are good gyms closer.
I-70 or 6th Avenue?
From Highland and Berkeley, I-70 to Highway 58. From Sloan's Lake, 6th Avenue is just as quick. Around 5 PM, allow a few extra minutes either way.
I train at a Denver gym. Can I drop in for open mat?
Yes. Open mat is free for anyone with six months of training: Friday 5:30 PM no-gi, Saturday 10:00 AM gi. Text us at 303-578-0198 so we know you are coming.
What happens after the free class?
Join the same day and your first month is $99, with the Day 30 Guarantee: come to eight classes in your first 30 days, and if it's not for you, we refund your first month.
Where do I park?
The front lot at 802 Washington Ave is open to gym visitors. The covered spots belong to the building, but the bank lot next door opens up after 5 PM and has plenty of room.
Head west one evening.
Your first class is free.
$99 first month applies to new memberships started the same day as your free intro class. Not available to current members. Guarantee requires at least eight classes in your first 30 days of membership (the free intro class doesn't count), with the refund requested within those 30 days; the refund is your first month's payment, and it ends your membership. It covers the first month only: if you paid for a longer term up front, the rest of that payment is not refunded.
