Golden Jiu Jitsu was started with the mission of cultivating a welcoming community that empowers members from all walks of life. Our experiences have shown us that community is the foundational pillar for our goals of wellness, motivation, confidence, and therapeutic stress relief that jiu jitsu offers. 

We work hard to constantly iterate and optimize our curriculum, lesson design, and teaching practices to maximize skill development and minimize sports-related risk for all members. We primarily utilize constraint based learning approaches alongside a heavy emphasis on concepts over isolated techniques. We also use systems in more linear situations teaching from proven sources such as Danaher and Lachlan Giles. 

We combine these tenets to provide holistic instruction in a beautiful setting. Nothing beats training on our mats filled with natural light right in downtown Golden.
