FREE INTRO CLASS:

These intro sessions are scheduled during our regular class times but follow a unique structure tailored specifically for both beginners and experienced grapplers who are new to our gym.

For beginners, you’ll receive one-on-one attention from one of our experienced coaches who will guide you through the fundamentals at your own pace.

We’ve designed this class to give you a comfortable, supportive introduction to jiu jitsu—no experience necessary. You’ll learn basic movements, key concepts, and what to expect in a typical class, all while getting a feel for our welcoming community and clean, professional training environment.

For experienced grapplers, we’ll just take a few minutes to align on our training culture and expectations. This includes how we approach intensity and playfulness in rolling, our shared responsibility around injury prevention, and a clear understanding of techniques and behaviors that are not allowed in our gym. After that, we’ll get you integrated into the class and rolling with the team.

Our free intro offer is intended for families who are genuinely interested in exploring jiu jitsu as an ongoing activity for their child. It is not available for one-off drop-ins or playdates with friends.

Intro classes for kids require a high level of hands-on coaching and can impact the experience of our current members. We're excited to welcome new families who are considering joining our program, and we're happy to help your child get started, but please reserve this offer only if you're seriously exploring jiu jitsu as a commitment.

TRIAL MEMBERSHIPS:

Golden Jiu Jitsu offers a free intro class - we’d love to have you drop in and train with us.

We don’t offer trial weeks beyond our standard new member intro, but if you’re just visiting and not looking for a new gym, we welcome you to come in for a class. After that, if it’s a good fit and you’re a positive presence on the mats, we’re happy to offer a flexible week of training.

We prioritize safety, respect, and a fun training environment, so we appreciate visitors who approach training with that same spirit.

Our membership pricing is simple and transparent.

• Month-to-month: $185
• 6-month agreement (monthly billing): 10% off → $167
• 12-month agreement (monthly billing): 15% off → $157
• 6-month paid upfront: ~15% off → $940 ($157/mo equivalent)

Family Discounts

If you live in the same household, you qualify for our family rates:

NEW MEMBER SETUP:

Beginning January 1st 2026, new memberships will include a standard one-time $99 sign-up charge.

We will waive the New Member Setup in the following cases: 

• You join through our Intro Class promo and start a membership on the day of your intro class
• You are a former member returning within 6 months of your cancellation date

FAMILY MEMBERSHIP CAP:

We love seeing families train together, and we want to make that as accessible as possible.

To keep things simple and supportive, we’ve capped the total monthly cost for families at $400/month.

That means no matter how many members from your household are training (adults, kids, or both), you’ll never pay more than $400 per month for unlimited classes.

Applies to immediate family members living in the same household. Discounts are automatically applied up to the cap.

COLLEGE STUDENT DISCOUNT:

We offer a special rate for local college students:

• $130/month
• No contract required

This membership includes 2 classes per week (open mats not included in the class count).

KIDS MEMBERSHIPS:

We offer two age-specific programs:

• Little Lions (Ages 4–6)
• Golden Tigers (Ages 7–13)

Both programs are priced at:

• Month-to-month: $165
• 6-month agreement: 10% off → $149
• 12-month agreement: 15% off → $140
• 6-month paid upfront: ~15% off → $840 ($140/mo equivalent)
• 12-month paid upfront: 25% off → $1,485 ($124/mo equivalent)

Class packs never expire and are great for visitors, shift workers, or anyone with a variable schedule.

PRIVATE LESSONS:

Looking for individualized feedback or focused skill development? Our private lessons and video review options are a great way to accelerate your progress.

Private Lessons

• $75 – One-hour private lesson
• $100 – One-hour private lesson with video review included
• 5-Pack (No Video Review): $300 (Get 5 lessons for the price of 4)
• 5-Pack (With Video Review): $400 (Get 5 lessons for the price of 4)

All private lessons are one hour long. You’ll need to bring an uke (training partner) with you. We recommend someone at your rank or higher. If you need help finding a partner, we’re happy to assist with scheduling.

Rolling Video Review

• $40 – Individual review
• $100 – 3-review pack

Send us 5–10 minutes of footage—this could be a regular sparring round, a competition match, or rounds of a CLA game from class. We’ll provide detailed feedback focusing on areas for potential improvement alongside suggestions for games to play or content to study. 

SUNDAY DONATION CLASS:

Our Sunday class is open to experienced grapplers who train at other gyms and want to drop in. It's a great option for those who live too far to attend regularly but enjoy being part of the Golden Jiu Jitsu community from time to time.

There’s no formal drop-in fee—just scan the “Donation Link” QR code on our announcements board if you'd like to contribute.

Suggested donation: $20

Please note: This class is for grapplers with prior experience who are actively training elsewhere. If you’re new to jiu jitsu or not currently training, please reach out to schedule a free intro class instead.

We’re happy to share the mats with respectful, engaged visitors - thanks for helping us keep the training environment safe and welcoming!

OPEN MAT:

Open mats are free for non-members, and we welcome visitors who already train at another gym and have grappling experience.

If you’re a respectful training partner with a solid foundation, you’re more than welcome to join us. However, open mat is not open to people without prior grappling experience or those who aren’t actively training at another academy.

If you're new to jiu jitsu or don't have a home gym, we'd love to introduce you to the sport - just reach out to schedule a free intro class instead.

Thanks for understanding. We’re committed to keeping our open mat safe, focused, and enjoyable for everyone on the mats.

MEMBERSHIP FREEZES:

If you are injured and unable to train, we offer injury freezes at no cost. Injury freezes are intended for situations where you truly cannot participate in class.

• Applies to training or non-training injuries
• Must be requested before your next billing date
• May require reasonable confirmation (such as a note from a healthcare provider)

Why We Use Injury-Only Freezes

We work hard to keep our rates fair and avoid unnecessary charges. Unlike many gyms, at Golden Jiu Jitsu:

• We don’t charge for belt promotions.
• We don’t require you to buy branded gear.
• We don’t host paid seminars just to promote students.
• We even cover hundreds of dollars a month in consumables—tape, cups, hygiene supplies, laundry fees, and first-aid items that most gyms leave up to members.

All of this is part of our commitment to maintaining a high-quality, student-first training environment.

In turn, we ask that our members treat the relationship with the same spirit: with fairness, honesty, and respect.
We’re not trying to squeeze every dollar out of our students - and we hope you’re not trying to squeeze every exception or pause out of your membership either.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

We require 30 days’ notice for all membership cancellations. This gives us time to process your request and update our class rosters. To cancel, please call, text, or talk to us in person - no awkward conversations or pressure, we promise.

REFUND POLICY:

At Golden Jiu Jitsu, we are committed to providing high-quality training and a positive experience for all members. Please note that all payments made to Golden Jiu Jitsu are non-refundable. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Membership dues (monthly, prepaid, or contract-based)
• Enrollment fees
• Seminar or event fees
• Merchandise purchases

Memberships may be adjusted according to our injury freeze policy and cancellation policy, but refunds are not issued under any circumstances.

We encourage members to review all membership options carefully before committing, and our staff is always happy to answer questions to ensure you choose the plan that best fits your needs.
